The Backstory…

The project started organically during the onset of Covid-19 in March 2020 in a small one-bedroom apartment in NYC’s midtown east section of Manhattan. It was during these politically charged and troubling times that Midas refocused his attention and love back on the music. He said, “It’s as if someone had kicked the proverbial hornet’s nest inside me that in turn sparked a creative revolution.” He goes on to say “I turned to my music, found my voice, wrote 30+ songs and I haven’t looked back since. The songs and words literally poured out of me. It’s as if I was at the confluence of self-realization and a spiritual revolution. Something in my head just switched.” His back catalog started to grow. He pitched a few demo songs to producers and the rest is history. The Midas Royal collection of songs represents and encapsulates both those magical and challenging moments.

Speaking candidly, Midas said, “The story of Midas Royal, and the importance of what this music is offering the world, is about how it can help elevate the conversation around humanity, radical empathy, and addressing everything on a personal level.”
